Learn From Rebecca Black – The Viral Element
I am writing this on a Friday, so this post is very timely. Some have referred to “Friday” by Rebecca Black as the worst song ever written by a human being. Now I am not sure it is the worst song ever but I will say this song is atrocious. Rebecca Black is a 13 yr old girl who wants to become like Justin Bieber, so on Febuary 10th, she released a video on Youtube called “Friday” but there was really no buzz about it till March 18 and then the views spiked. Why? Well according to Mashable, it all began with this tweet by comedian Michael J. Nelson
At the time of that Twit, Michael Nelson had just over 19,000 followers on Twitter (by the time of this post he now has 20,461 and you can believe it will continue to grow). That same day it was picked up by Tosh.O of Comedy Central who wrote “Songwriting Isn’t for Everyone” and now her ‘Friday’ video has over 90,000,000 views. Think about that for a second.
The Importance Of A Sitemap
The importance of a sitemap is most times over looked when the average person builds or pays someone else to build a website for them. It is truly one of the most important but yet overlooked aspects when it comes to web design or marketing. People do not seem to understand the benefits of having a sitemap. Why should I have a sitemap you ask? Well my good looking friend, here are some quick and easy reasons;
1) Navigating the treacherous Fields
A sitemap is exactly what is sounds like, it’s a Site-Map. Sometimes your site could get so crowded with new articles and a visitor lands on your site and maybe after reading one of your topics, they decide that you are a brilliant writer and would love to read more, unfortunately for them everything you’ve written about for the past two weeks have been boring, lets say you’ve been covering the happens in the Envelope Stuffing market (Very boring job) and your visitor is not interested in such a boring read, so they go to your site map and viola! in there they find all your more exciting topics. So sitemaps are important for navigating the boring treacherous fields of your site.
The Fastest Way to Lose a Client
The Fastest way to lose a client is by making them feel that you don’t care. Customer service is one of the most important aspects of your business, if you have a good product without a great customer service, there is a chance that your clients will move on to your competitor who has a better customer service mindset.
Good products alone don’t guarantee a return visit for a client. You must treat each and ever customer like a king, even if they are acting like children, why? Simply because your reputation is worth it.
